About This Data
Each state page counts the addiction treatment facilities listed in SAMHSA's FindTreatment.gov locator, compares them with 2020 Census population, and names the counties with no listed facility. Every chart can be embedded with a link back to its source page.
These figures count listed facilities, not capacity or quality: a listing does not show how many people a facility can treat, how soon, or how well.
The data and charts are free to reuse under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence: credit Sentinel Alcohol Detox and link to the state data page you use.
