Who We Are
We are Sentinel Alcohol Detox, an independent publisher focused on one thing: helping people in the United States find licensed alcohol detox and rehab services close to home. We are not a treatment center ourselves and we do not provide medical care. What we do is gather information about licensed facilities across the country and put it in plain language, so that when drinking has become an emergency for you or someone you love, you can figure out your next step quickly instead of searching in the dark.
How Our Helpline Works
When you call our number, you reach a person whose job is to listen first and point you toward help second. The call is free and confidential, and you do not need to have a plan ready before you dial. Tell them where you are and what has been happening, and they will walk you through what kinds of licensed detox and rehab options serve your area, how the options differ, and what questions to ask when you contact a facility.
They will not pressure you into any particular program, and you can hang up at any time. If you are calling about someone else, that is fine too; you do not need to be the person drinking to ask for help.
Get in Touch
Call the free, confidential helpline: (877) 712-7713. If it is late at night and you are worried about calling, you can still pick up the phone; there is no wrong time to ask this question. One thing to keep in mind before anything else: if you or your family member is shaking, confused, seeing things that are not there, or having a seizure while sobering up, that is a medical emergency.
Do not wait on a helpline in that situation. Hang up and call 911 or get to the nearest emergency room right away. For everything short of that emergency, the helpline is a good first call, and you can also read through the information at https://sentinelalcoholdetox.com at your own pace.
